Peace PRISM: A framework for sharing and displaying spatio-temporal indicators
Friday 15 June 2007 by Mayeul Kauffmann
This initiative [1] aims at building an information system for spatio-temporal data (in international governance, conflict, human rights and environment areas), targeted both at researchers, students and at a much broader audience, with a web-based information system.
The main components of the Peace PRISM project are:
Merging: Merge the available databases that are useful for peace research;
Displaying: Display these data in an interactive, graphical form (maps, diagram, time scales...), with one-click access to related textual documents;
Retrieving: Allow easy retrieval of data.
[1] This presentation was made at the international Advanced Research Workshop organised by the Ecole de la paix in Grenoble in June 2007. More information here.
